The Boulder
france
This boulder has sat in the Dranse River for who knows how long, slowly being covered in moss and lichen, water carving patterns around it year after year. The glacial turquoise flows around it like liquid light, that long exposure turning the rushing spring melt into silk. Those textured rocks framing the scene, the lush green forest above—every element working together. I could have photographed just the wide view and been happy. But taking the time to explore and find perspectives like this is what separates a good day of photography from a great one. Photo © copyright by Michael Schultz.
