Workshop Planning Session

A trip like this is worth
getting right.

A one-on-one planning session with me — 45 minutes, just the two of us.

A trip like this isn't a small thing. It's real money, and for most people it's not something they do every year. So the hesitation makes sense — and it's rarely about whether you want to go. It's the quiet worry underneath: what if I spend all of it, fly all that way, and come home with images that don't match what I paid, or what it actually felt like to be there? One week, one shot at that light, that bear, that valley. Nobody wants to get it wrong.

That's the exact thing worth sorting out before you commit — not after. So I set aside time to talk it through directly: which of my workshops actually fits what you want to photograph, whether you're headed for Alaska's bears, the Dolomites in fall, the aurora, or somewhere else, and whether your gear and experience are ready for it. Bring your work if you'd like and I'll give you honest, specific feedback on it. By the end you'll have looked at your own images with a working pro, you'll know which trip is right for you, what to shoot, and what to pack — and you'll book with confidence instead of a maybe.

This is for photographers who are serious about the work — people who'd rather get it right than guess. If that's you, this call is built for you.

The session is $197, and if you book any workshop within a year, that full $197 comes off your deposit. If you go, it costs you nothing extra — if you don't, you've still walked away with a plan.

"At a photography meetup I showed my work from Michael's Alaska workshop, and the instructor said the balance, composition, and leading lines Michael taught me were better than many photos in the portfolios of Master of Fine Arts students he's worked with. I wouldn't be getting these shots without his guidance."
