Diagonal Descent
France
Sometimes the most compelling images aren't of the whole waterfall—they're the abstract details that most people walk past. Upper Cascade d'Ardent, where water splits into multiple streams flowing diagonally across layered rock. The texture of that rock face, the pattern of the water flow, the way it creates these natural diagonal lines—this is art created by geology and water over thousands of years. I just captured it with long exposure and close perspective. This is looking closer instead of always stepping back. Photo © copyright by Michael Schultz.
